Event Details

John Houston, a 2007 graduate of Yorktown High School and a Theater major/Political Science minor at Ohio State University, has spent the past year reworking his YHS One Person Show about former boxer and cultural icon, Muhammad Ali. This spring, he plans to travel to various cities in the south to perform his work, When a Man Stands Alone, and to engage his audiences in a "dynamic dialogue" about their perceptions of race in America. With the help of some of his fellow YHS theatre alums, John also intends to produce a documentary about his experiences on the road.

Admission is by a donation of any amount and will be limited to 150 people. Tickets are available by advance reservation or at the door.
